Beyond the eyes and ears of the world Am I talking to myself, to God or just wasting My time? Lots of people talk to themselves Perhaps we all do. Timely self-chastisement A little self-scalding whilst out enjoying the Fresh air. I often find myself blowing the Cobwebs away, writing verse, mulling over Mistakes or taking my brain to task for not Keeping a loose tongue still
Certainly when times are hard, truth is at a Premium or worse still a loved one tells you How bad you have been, how much they dislike You and how they wish they'd never met you This is a time when talking to yourself takes On a real purpose
Damning indictments such as these are often Only part of the story and if one looks deeper The accuser may have much to regret too, but That can wait until later. Little is ever as it first Appears when passions run high. Hence the Need for a little air-talk and where best to Exercise this wisdom than when alone in a Field or some such place beyond the eyes And ears of the world. Christ ventured into The wilderness too - so we are not alone in The habit
Talking to yourself is not always about bad News but nine times out of ten it is about Searching for answers and if it ends in a Prayer, having a chat with the almighty or Just talking to yourself the answer is
Always out there - somewhere
