 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

Let not your eyes to rest,
Nor let your eyelids close;
So you can do your best,
Whenever the wind blows.

Free yourself like a deer,
From sight of the huntress;
Predators that strike fear,
Able to cause you stress.

Just consider the ant,
Such a busy creature;
Never enraged to rant,
Not ever a leachier.

Watch its ways and be wise,
It has no overseer;
No deceit or disguise,
Just busy and sincere.

It has not a bad mood,
Never commits a crime;
Merely gathers up food,
Before the wintertime.

So how long will you lie?
When will you finish sleep?
A lazy bum is why,
You can no longer leap.

How much sleep or slumber?
Folding hands for a nap;
Hearing you saw lumber,
Hiding eyes with your cap.

You are in poverty,
Acting like a drifter;
With stolen property,
Being a shoplifter.

As a thief in the night,
That will lie from his lips;
Hibernates from the light,
Sups poison that he sips.

Arrogant eyes and tongue,
Fingers and hands that kill;
Arms that weapons are flung,
That Satan does instill.
