God Bless The Glasgow Irish

God Bless The Glasgow Irish                     December 4, 2016

God Bless the Glasgow Irish Mother Irelands friend

The Calton will be Irish to the very end

We stand with our country, we're Irelands greatest friend

More irish than in Ireland, Irish to the end

We've suffered since we crossed the sea

No welcome here for Ireland and me

No Irish or blacks was the theme of the day

Go home to Ireland, not welcome here to stay

Discrimination then, no change today

The message from Glasgow is we're not going away

Our Irish heroes are remembered in Glasgow

No peace without freedom, did they have to go

We're Calton proud, with a message clear

The soldiers song is very dear

God Bless the Glasgow Irish Mother Irelands friend

The Calton will be Irish to the very end
