Patchwork Quilt

In the patchwork quilt of life and death

I find myself with much time left, in which

To write and live my life, the way I want

The way I like

A patchwork quilt of squares of gold, of

Floral pieces some quite old, a swatch of

Patterns art deco, some lace, some

Printed calico

I give the patches each a date, sometimes

A name, sometimes place, I live in Gingham

Work in Denim, Chantilly lace when I'm

In heaven
