A dish that's best served slow

In the time it takes to love you

Night has turned to day, half

The world has woken up and

Half has hit the hay

In the time it takes to love you

I see no cause to rush, No

Stopwatch needed here my dear

Just lots and lots of love

In the time it takes to love you

Man has walked on Mars

Life is not a practise, why run

When you can walk?

In the time it takes to love you

I can see no cause for haste

I may spend an hour or longer

Concentrating on one place

I wrote this little poem 'cause I

Wanted you to know, that love

In my opinion, is a dish that's

Best served slow
