Renewing Faith
By Cynthia L.B. Bogear
3/10/2017
She sat in silence gazing out,
She had walked this path before.
When she thought faith had left her,
She had searched the path once more.
The years have now faded away,
And a wiser woman she became.
The curves of life have come and gone,
Leaving behind difficult lessons learned.
As a glaze glistens over her eyes,
She ask herself was it worth the ride.
So much love had been lost,
And many memories left behind.
Smiles and tears of joy crossed over,
Sometimes followed by faith's glory.
Reflections not to be ignored,
With moments there to restore.
Life played a strong hand,
With moments trumping over others.
With grace she played along,
Not knowing which way to fall.
In silence she now sits,
Playing back her memories.
Giving up was not her option,
But with love renewing faith was.
Dedicated to Pastor Bonita Knox and Trinity Lutheran Church ELCA. Thanks for never giving up on me and thanks for all the inspiration.
