Once I had a secret love
A secret no more
For in fifty five years
We traveled the world from shore to shore
It is comforting to hear her snore
Now we are old
Health problems cannot ignore
The years left are not that many
Fewer places left to explore
The life we shared as husband and wife
Days we shared in happiness and life
Kids are grown the Grandkids too
If I had it to do over again
I would share my world with you
Shari, I remember the first time I saw you
Your beauty beyond compare
And where would I be if you were not there
Sorry guys she's taken--life is not fair
My secret love a love so rare
Those who know me not a love poet.
Reality is where I have went.
The good times together that came we spent
I marvel how she puts up with this gent
