Patriotism

We are patriots you and me
We used to share community

The bonds of truth that held us near
Are broken now by all this fear

When truth be told we would agree
No greater joy than liberty

Ignorance and fear will rob us blind
A dream of peace for all humankind

That which makes this nation great
Democracy and uncensored debate

Spin and lies will be our demise
Pursue the truth without compromise

Divided by the powers that be
We'll all be doomed to soul poverty
