Lying There Alone

Death arrives late,
  but the dying begins early

You sense it in your motion,
  -feel it in your bones

Life becomes compressed,
  before ending abruptly

Memory all that's left,
 -you lying there alone

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2017)
