A Cobra Gift
A Cobra Gift
I entered the temple of Lord Shiva
Sang a prayer and offered copra
Pleased God gifted me his cobra
Putting it around my neck I walked proudly
People looked at me surprisingly
Children were scared of me
Panic stricken kept away from me
Thinking too much of myself I became rude
Frightened the tiny tots with its hood
Suddenly was strangled my neck
So tight was cobra's knot, breathe I couldn't take
Daddy was making me awake
Pulling the scarf around my neck
I entered the temple of Lord Shiva
Sang a prayer and offered copra
Pleased God gifted me his cobra
Putting it around my neck I walked proudly
People looked at me surprisingly
Children were scared of me
Panic stricken kept away from me
Thinking too much of myself I became rude
Frightened the tiny tots with its hood
Suddenly was strangled my neck
So tight was cobra's knot, breathe I couldn't take
Daddy was making me awake
Pulling the scarf around my neck
