From the Heart Through the Pen

Emotions all sorts of mixed
Looking for a quality healthy fix
Some kind of normalcy
Cold turkey's not a remedy
Just part of disaster's recipe
You're over there erasing memories
Not even 2 seconds later
I've got an ex texting me
Giving lines I only want to hear from you
Only few will understand
How you course through my veins
Navigating the waves like it's your trade
For any other woman I was not made
Listen to my words just don't react
I'm over hear healing
Going through a lifetime of feelings
It wasn't just your average pact
Took my whole life to make...fact
I just need a bit of normalcy
Too much has been ripped from me
Borrowing Tony's clown mask
From his project
So I can put on this act
Feels like I'm in a drunken stupor
Though I'm sober
One right question
Will trigger an unexpected reaction
No one's ready for
To include this gentleman
Just a bit of normalcy
Guess that's too much to ask I see
Laughter has gotta come from somewhere right
Even if I'm the joke...hahahaha
That wasn't planned
But could be true
All I ever did is love you

Maybe this is normalcy
Cause the pain sure is true
In this fallen earth
My core cries out
For the angel who walks this world
The one I long for
Although no one knows
Red heart now blue again
Where there is no reason or rhyme
I'm sure I could keep that promise a million years
Word play at its finest
But the only to know is I
