Put to death worldly things,
The passion lust and greed;
Forget pleasures it brings,
God provides what you need.
You make the Lord angry,
For you do not obey;
Heeding not His decree,
Because you go astray.
You lived that kind of life,
With hatred and cursing;
Causing you so much strife,
As you were coercing.
Lie not to each other,
Rid what you use to be;
Be kind to your brother,
God gives insight to see.
You are a new person,
As a new creation;
Your new life has begun,
Given through salvation.
No longer black or white,
Neither as slave or free;
We are all in the light,
Blest by Christ as to see.
Always be humble and kind,
Passionately gentle;
Give others peace of mind,
Never as judgmental.
Tolerate each other,
Always try to construe;
Forgive one another,
Just Christ forgave you.
Let peace from Christ control,
Bonding within your heart;
His Spirit in your soul,
Giving you a new start.
Let God teach you wisdom,
For all you say and do;
Prepare for His Kingdom,
To His Word remain true.
