A simple glance became our start
That day when you became a part
Of what became of us as if
You'd be the one I'd taste on lips
Yet on that day that passed us by
My heart would lose as passerby
Was birthed that day and stayed that way
Distant held hands with much dismayed
I wished that I had not succumbed
To fear I could not be the one
To share my soul with you till time
Came to part of you dreamt mine
I think of you more than often
Often when need becomes to soften
A heart with pain that bares no grudge
That dropped the ball and didn't budge
I could have, would have, if given chance
To write the score of lost romance
Romance so real each missed out dance
Plays out again for much it pants
Time would pass and you would too
Too late became of you I knew
And so today I brought you flowers
Where rest you lay and my tomorrows
I still hold to what's left behind
Of once upon, upon a time
Where you live still, upon my mind
When Love Becomes
