END OF THE HUNT

Boudreaux and Thibodeaux got their guns,
gone hunting for bear, and a little fun.
Walked down the road just past Brow Bridge,
But came to a stop,  upon a  ridge.

There saw a sign, beside the road,
where a broken wagon lost it's load.
Around this spot new tracks were cleft,
The sign just said:, “BEAR LEFT”.

They're no fools, but wise “Coonass' ”,
around this wreck they need not pass.
“This is folly, we need  not go on”
They turned around and went back home.
