Waiting on Him By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Another pace becomes of me
The man who seeks so desperately
A moment lost, a moment's peace
My soul hungry seeking appease
Somehow I lost my way again
To you who made it so and when
I was a better man some time ago
If just for now of me take hold
I write for you so others see
The good in me, the need to breathe
Life into lifeless, a pulse to beat
A broken heart, murmur at least
Bring your light to shine upon
This man more boy with dreams bygone
Searching dark skies, a star to wish
Upon this night, some think more myth
Hurting dear Father I lay my head
That seeks much rest, restless misled
Another breath barely taken
What for I ask, gravely mistaken
Wonder of peace will ever come
To call for me, with hope become
What you called me not long ago
Beloved son, before I have to go
And so I wait and write again
Requesting light as I ask when
When will it stop, this hurt that thrives
Inside where wants, are unheard cries
Waiting on Him
Waiting on Him
