Resolutions
I've made new resolutions
As I do most every year
Hoping each one is within my grasp
That to them, I'd adhere.
I've resolved to be more spiritual
Putting more faith in the Lord
And strive to live in harmony
With all, in one accord.
I've resolved to be the kind of man
My wife and children need
Instead of one who thinks of self
And pays them little heed.
I've resolved to be a better friend
To those most dear to me
And show them by my sentiments
How friendships ought to be.
I've resolved to be less critical
Of other people's thoughts
And not expect too much of them
Since I have my own faults.
