Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Decisions

I tread no more
The fields of war
Though the battles onward rage
I stand aside
(So far from pride)
Of all life’s errors made.

I once thought of war
As a way to roar…
be that man to fight
But I roared too loud
Those once so proud
Now trembled through the night.

So I tread no more
The fields of war
I have seen the carnage made
I now step aside
Try to regain some pride
With decisions I now make
.
