THAT GOOD NIGHT
Dylan Thomas be damn,
I plan to go
"gentle into that good night”
I lived the life that I always thought was right.
I also tried to do much good along the way,
I was blessed with a love I considered very tight,
I really care what you may do, or what you say,
for I also plan to go gentle into the night.
What I may have I missed, that was not right,
what negative act done, that you may say,
what will you do to let me fix that slight.
What I must do is fix it, and this very day.
For that is my final prayer, I say with all my might,
So when I start my journey into the light,
So when my time is up, and it is my day,
So I wish to know that all has been set right,
So please forgive me if I erred along the way,
For I must go gently into that good night.
