The Backyard Of My Life

The Pirate With The Crystal Ball

Seven junkyard angle dancers come crashing
Through the gates of electric Eden
Doctor Jones the medicine man
Invader of there freedom
Fainted when somebody somewhere
Strolled over to deceive them
With a red and yellow pill box

The pirate with the crystal ball
Asked the mirror on the wall
Will i ever conquer the seven seas?
Gather enough gold to live as i please?
Or will i be buried at the bottom of the ocean?

A misunderstood mermaid mentions to a crow
The house on the hill were wild flowers grow
Gravestones for sailors satin and lace
The old laughing lady with half a face
Puts on a china mask

Dr Jones came to the angles had gone
Messiah insulted where did he go wrong?
Rolling with the punches puts up a fight
President of nothing on a Saturday night
Holds out his hands to pray for rain

With the pirate approaching the house on the hill
Looking for land the wind stood still
When eye spy something of the star ward bow
With his hook for a hand he points to it now
Raise the skull and bones

For a moment the mermaid shook a snowball
While the crow counting coins perched on a wall
Dr Jones still waiting for a thunder limousine
The pirate a profit sails in a submarine
Somethings change some never will
Nobody lives in the house on the hill
