Poetic-Verses

'' Our Inheritors Aren't Meek ''

As our world evolves,
Are we in control?
As this theory dissolves,
We deny our role.

All we've done is take,
Without putting back,
Our lives we forsake,
Now we're under attack.

As resources run low,
World governments collapse,
There's no status quo,
We all fight for the scraps.

There's no rich or poor,
We are killing to survive,
Is reality that obscure,
As each other we deprive.

Like the animals we are,
Human doesn't hold sway,
No longer the star,
We then become prey.

Gold, diamonds and oil,
A mouth doesn't feed,
Because we have to toil,
Very soon we will bleed.

Our species soon fades,
With life we can't cope,
Due to our escapades,
We are left without hope.

We believed we'd live longest,
Our intelligence was king,
We were the strongest,
Mother Nature could bring.

Now the human's expired,
The future's not bleak,
What has transpired?
