Silent Thoughts

Shall the heart of silent thoughts
capture secrets of love sweetness
memories of splendor in the grass.

'To thy heart be true' they say
maybe just a glimpse may show
that hearts collect there own
thoughts through life.

Abide within the walls of time
there are no more bricks
to find, not in this life
maybe the next.

The walls can smother all feelings
without notice, if left to do the deed
secret thoughts of the heart abide
within.

Live on through life in private
if it has to be closing doors
around your heart with your song
to sing.
