set for life
Set for life or
left for dead
Stacks of money
puts a target
on your head
Locked in a room
like a prisoner
maybe its better
to live life poor
No worries of guns
aimed at the door
Life's good to feel sane
Streets paved with gold
are hot coals
the devil made
Tricking a Christian from god
Shopping, gambling,
and buying new cars
Are diamond a girl's
best friend
Or something we
should have left
in the ground
so much blood shed
a pretty thing someone
found
a dream comes true
or maybe a nightmare
Surfacing to the top
prayers been finally
answered or has
The devil come in
Wishes granted goes
horribly wrong are hard
To stop
Through the world
and in the air there's sin
In a garden
weeds grow and
flourish fast
Innocence is straggled
wither into dust and gone
Nothing gold can stay
and nothing green can last
At judgment we all must
answer for our wrongs
