God is our refuge and strength,
Ever present when in trouble;
To persevere at any length,
Pulling us out from the rubble.
Therefore, we will not be afraid,
Though the earth will start to shiver;
He is present to render aid,
To cause a shift in a river.
Mountains topple into the sea,
That is making the waters roar;
Foaming waves will be tossing free,
Tsunami hits a distant shore.
Though its waters roaring and foam,
Mountains quake with its turmoil;
Waves travelling and freely roam,
Causing despair in its toil.
There is a river a delight,
Flows through the holy dwelling place;
Of the city of God so bright,
Shining from His glory and grace.
God is present, it will not move,
He will assist when morning dawns;
It is beyond what we behoove,
Because we are more like young fawns.
Nations rage and kingdoms totter,
The earth melts when He lifts His voice;
A fire ball that gets hotter,
But those rescued have made their choice.
The Lord of Hosts has been with us,
The God of Jacob a stronghold;
Our sanctuary as thus,
With courage as brassy and bold.
Come and see the works of the Lord,
With devastation on the earth;
Such power cannot be ignored,
And destroying all of its worth.
He makes wars throughout earth to cease,
Be still and know who is your God;
Promoting an eternal peace,
To all those who honor and laud.
