MY FAVORITE BOOK
Upon my shelves are many books,
many I value, to others I have barely looked,
but when I find one full of friends,
my love for it may never end.
Inside this book I write my name,
insert little notes, without an end,.
And often refer it to a friend,
or if they're special, I sometime lend.
Being sure that they understand,
any abuse, of my book is surely banned.
And it must be returned soon as can be,
for this is one love, that belongs just to me.
At times I may buy a special book,
for a friend who may have the same outlook,
this brings us closer for fine discussion,
of what may become a mutual obsession.
So if you later come to find this book
after my life on earth was overtook,
I live right on with all my thoughts,
inside this favorite book I bought.
