Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

The message of the cross,

Foolish who will perish;

But God gives after loss,

The saved who do cherish.

God kills wisdom of wise,

Set aside understanding;

Of experts through His eyes,

What He is demanding.

Where is the wise and scribe?

The scholar of this age;

Debaters who will gibe,

Upon the worldly stage.

God made foolish wisdom,

Since wisdom of the Lord;

Of heavenly kingdom,

Man, basically ignored.

God was pleased to save those,

That foolishness was reached;

Where through the message flows,

Believing the message preached.

For the Jews ask for signs,

And the Greeks seek wisdom;

While the Lord refines,

What is spiritual freedom.

We preach Christ crucified,

Stumbling block to Jews;

Foolishness Greeks denied,

That they refused to choose.

Yet to those who are called,

As a Jew or a Greek;

Continue to be flawed,

Since truth they do not seek.

Foolishness is wiser,

Than the wisdom of man;

God is the advisor,

With the ultimate plan.

No one can ever boast,

Being in His presence;

Praise the heavenly host,

Boasting Him in essence.
