You were called to freedom,
Do not use as a chance;
For abusing wisdom,
To give you an advance.
Intimacy you share,
Not the manner of love;
By having an affair,
Contrary to above.
Serve one another,
Denying your pleasure;
By helping your brother,
The love of true treasure.
You must love your neighbor,
Loving them as your own;
In leisure and labor,
As to what God would condone.
But if you devour,
Biting one another;
As a passionflower,
Intimate to smother.
Resist your desires,
And live by the Spirit;
Do as God requires,
Blessings for your merit.
Let not the flesh to lust,
Rather follow the Law;
The Spirit you can trust,
To keep you from the flaw.
It is a manifest,
The motives of the heart;
Emotions on a quest,
For the brain to impart.
For immorality,
Thoughts that have been impure;
Straying iniquity,
Causing you to detour.
Those who practice such things,
Will not go to Heaven;
Because the strife it brings,
Condemnation given.
The fruit of the Spirit,
Is love, joy, and peace;
For what you inherit,
Godliness will not cease.
