1984 AND MORE

1984 AND MORE ~!

It came to pass and so much more,
forty years before, in his book “1984”.
Orwell told us of things to abhor,
and now we are seeing that open sore.

Almost forty more years, now have past,
and so much he said, has come to pass.
the terrible things, the scene is cast.
And that world we knew, just may not last.

“Big Brother” is watching everything,
all thoughts, what we say, do, or even sing.
And evil works our government brings,
whichever party, who's bell we ring.

Inside your home, when you are alone,
you think you are safe, but you are so wrong,
using your computer, or on your phone,
knowing who is watching, will make you groan.

Driving or walking, outside on the street,
someone may be attentive, to who you meet,
those cameras above, not very discrete,
“Big Brother” is watching your life complete.

What happened to our privacy, we moan,
our personal informational rights are gone,
and recorded sales pitches on the phone,
driving you crazy, you are never alone.

“I see you seem to own your own home”
“your financial situation tells us you need a loan”
“from your health results, you may soon be gone”
“but we have the answer", says the voice on the phone.

What can we do, what can we say~?
How did we come to this today~?
Can it be fixed, is there any way~?
What part of this does our government play~?

I'll tell you this, we are no longer a democracy,
in fact big business has taken over by proxy,
money is the base of our orthodoxy,
we are slaves to them, so must use our moxie.

Go to the poles, stand up and yell,
if you don't get rid of those bribes we'll tell,
my life is just not yours, it's not to sell,
and instead of congress you will be in jail.
