Theron's Meraki

perched on the shingled roof
he tested his inner youth and the wind,
until the reflection of his youth
discovered him there mid-repair,
                 time later reflected in hilarity,
his beloved smiled as she walked by,
the still cool dew touched soda
          subtly shrouded at his side,
over a jubilee together
they became what soil is to grass
through life's tasks, trials, and treks,
    memories hence
that will always bind distance and time,
his smile and laughter
        came like inhaling breath,
to each day he gave wholeheartedly,
    living an unpretentious life,
       loving the Lord and family,
thoroughly determined to share
         the story of Christ,
   his love was profound
and through the eyes of many
            an inspiring dad figure,
  a man who by nature
was a spiritual father and mentor
    to all whom he met,
a role he lived to replicate of Him above
and of whose love he loved with,
  his presence the patriarchal pillar,
     remaining straightforward, humorous, and kind,
his hands dwelled in the garden of soil and man,
hands that rendered a gift from above
     of laying hands of healing
the work given through the Holy Spirit,
when illness came to block the road,
he marched forward with the armor of God
   and proceeded to never waiver
in sharing the love of Christ,
   an amazing man
        who means much to many,
    going forward will forever be
a reflection of his enduring inspiriting life,
     and will endure
beyond the bounds of earth
    to inspire,
      to live forgiveness,
        to live genuinely,
          to live love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 New International Version (NIV)

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
