SUNSHINE
Sunshine
You are the sunshine of my life,
no not only the rising of the sun,
which may be good, or causing strife,
only making promises, of things to come.
Nor or you just the sun that sets,
telling only of things already gone,
you are all my sunshine without regret,
reminding, & showing, us where we belong.
Giving me warmth when I am cold,
warm love of sunbeams shining in the trees,
lighting my way, keeping me from growing old.
Growing, glowing, showing me, my life you please.
And in the night, when the sun is down,
your closeness still reminds me, all night long,
showing me that in the morn, you will be around,
beautiful brightness, assuring me always, I'm not alone.
