there's strength vibrant from your eyes,
courage demonstrated in your ability
to continue forward,
even as tears linger
exhaustion trills at every joint,
at the ability to function,
and at the brink of despondence,
then when all dismay
brings acrimony and antipathy
from the thief to bear before you,
there exists the veraciously determined
daughter of a living God
standing in His light, with His armor.
