We who are strong ought to bear,
With the failings of the weak;
So, we are able to share,
As they continue to seek.
Let us please our neighbor,
For his good to build him up;
In his leisure and labor,
Fresh brewed coffee in his cup.
For Christ did not please Himself,
Duly noted in the Book;
His pleasures on the back shelf,
His desires forsook.
Insults of those who insult,
That you have fallen on me;
Of an immature adult,
Is filled with iniquity.
For all written long ago,
Was written for instruction;
With the hope that we should know,
Enduring the seduction.
May God give you unity,
Through endurance and comfort;
Resisting iniquity,
Avoiding any effort.
Because the Lord has patience,
Consolation that grants you;
The wisdom for your conscience,
To remain loyal and true.
So, you may be of one voice,
To glorify the Father;
As we constantly rejoice,
The Lord and our Brother.
So, receive one another,
Just as Christ has received you;
Able to call your Brother,
Being able to construe.
Christ has become a servant,
To confirm promises made;
Vigilant and observant,
So, no need to be afraid.
Because of this I confess,
I will sing praise to His name;
Continuing to profess,
Praise His Word as I proclaim.
