Gung Ho
Schools behind you I see,
Life's a bitch, nothings free,
Where to go, what to do,
Have no plans, Have no clue
Onions, lemons, sour limes,
Kiss your Ass one last time,
Long, warm, sweet and damp,
And go now to, Marine boot camp
Gain a little muscle weight,
Get up early, stand up straight,
Learn to shoot, and self defense,
In thirteen weeks of common sense
Then changed into a mighty fighter,
Full of grit and pine wood lighter,
March back to your home again,
Changed, confident, a war to win
Now deep the sands of Afghanistan,
You will fight, and like a man,
You will rise up early, stand up straight,
Salute the flag, and gain more weight
Where ever you go, what ever you do,
You made a plan and followed through,
When shots ring out from up above,
And time it comes for push and shove
When fight or flight is your choice,
Though your pants be kind of moist,
You will grit your teeth, stand up straight,
And face you day of certain fate
And if you catch a round deep in your chest,
You'll face that day of certain death,
Give your all, freedom raised,
a martyr made, a country saved
Rest in peace brave heroes,
Too young, too soon, I know
