I remind you of these things,
Charging to you before God;
Not to fight as what it brings,
Causing you to become flawed.
This is not a useful way,
Leading to ruin hearers;
Causing some to go astray,
No longer as adherers.
Be diligent in your deeds,
Someone that is not ashamed;
A somebody that succeeds,
As to what you have proclaimed.
Be correct in teaching truth,
As told in the Holy Word;
Never to become uncouth,
But understood what is heard.
Avoid profane empty speech,
It will increase godlessness;
By all means you must beseech,
In stressing a blessedness.
False teaching will spread like gangrene,
It deviates from the truth;
Rebuking what have not seen,
The rawness within their youth.
They reverse the faith of some,
Guiding where they not belong;
With truth they are deaf and dumb,
But God’s foundation stands strong.
To claim the name of the Lord,
You must turn away from sin;
Earthly pleasures be ignored,
Blocking temptation within.
In a mansion there are gold bowls,
Some of silver, wood and clay;
Is it moral for your souls,
For you to take them away.
Flee from your youthful passions,
Pursue the faith, love, and peace;
Gear towards the righteous fashions,
Making temptations to cease.
Call the Lord from a pure heart,
Do not quarrel or argue;
You will be able to thwart,
The path Satan does pursue
