 DREAMLAND

UNAWARE

When the world is silently
sleeping and the stars are
twinkling away in the sky,
my mind is thinking silently
about those far away stars.

So small and insignificant
small dots of lights in the sky
have a habit of hiding truth
behind the trillions of stars.

Hot burning nuclear reactors,
some much bigger than the Sun,
the Stars are deceiving us,
pretending to be insignificant.

We are deceiving ourselves.
Vastness of the Universe and
the times scale so large our
existence seems insignificant.

Still to us it is so important
and we live our lives happily
unaware of the entire universe
for an extremely small time.

Less than ten decades compared
to the time in billions of years
the universe has existed so far.
We are unaware of the Universe.
