 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

Give thanks unto the Lord,

His loyal love endures;

So be in one accord,

His faithfulness assures.

Let those who are rescued,

That were saved from the foe;

Keep a good attitude,

Of a spiritual flow.

We know not the hour,

When the enemy hits;

The darkness of power,

Seems like he never quits.

They come from foreign lands,

From the west and the east;

Across the burning sands,

Riding on a strange beast.

They wandered on a road,

No city found to live;

No place for an abode,

No food or drink to give.

They do hunger and thirst,

Fainting from the high heat;

It seems to be the worst,

Able to burn their feet.

They cried out to the Lord,

Because of their distress;

Asked not to be ignored,

For the heat does oppress.

He saved them from trouble,

Oasis was straight ahead;

But still they did grumble,

Though they drank and were fed.

He led them down the path,

Where they might find a town;

Willing to spare from wrath,

Although they wore a frown.

Let them give thanks to God,

Because of loyal love;

Giving Him honor and laud,

For amazing things above.
