Joan of Arc
shes so beautiful
and so ignorant
of the truth —-
because it is meaningless
to the wandering heart,
fractured apart,
desperate to find beauty
in the world surrounding
rather than
inside ——
she could have loved you
despite your
lies,
because she is so beautiful
inside and out
a heart of gold
tattered with flaws,
loved and hated,
crucified on the cross ——
blinded by her own beauty
because she is so
insightful to the demons
within
