I recall when just a little child
This picture on my Gramma's wall...
Two children crossing o'er a bridge...
An Angel there in case they'd fall.
And I recall my Gramma's words
Of an Angel watching me.
I've never doubted what she said...
Her words still ring so truthfully.
Because I have a Guardian Angel...
God's assigned him to my care.
The Bible tells me that I do
Because I am salvations' heir.
He's always watching over me...
I will never be neglected.
Though Satan tries to lie to me...
I really feel I am protected.
I believe right at conception
That an Angel comes to guard
Every newborn human being
And that he's sent here by the Lord.
I recall many an instance
Driving roads of yesterday...
Where I may have not survived
Seems I was pushed out of the way.
And I recall the premonitions...
Don't go here or don't go there...
Like someone whispered in my ear
Alerting me I should beware.
And only later would I learn
Of some horrendous tragedy...
Where I could have been a victim
Had my Angel not warned me.
Angels will take human form...
To help out in man's affairs.
I think some of us just may have
Entertained an Angel unwares.
When the final trump is blown
And my life on Earth is done...
I believe my Guardian Angel
Will carry me Home to The Son.

~~Dedicated to Marian Ross~~ ~~AUTHOR'S NOTE~~
Here is a true story that has been around for some time. In 1944, the penniless wife of a pastor and evangelist
in Switzerland, Susie Ware prayed, “God, I need five pounds of potatoes, two pounds of pastry flour, apples, pears, a cauliflower, carrots, veal cutlets for Saturday, and beef for Sunday.” A few hours later, someone knocked
on the door, and there was a young man with a basket, who
said, “Mrs. Ware, I am bringing what you asked for.” It
was precisely what she’d prayed for – down to the exact
brand of pastry flour she wanted. Pastor and Mrs. Ware
watched as the young man slipped away, but he never exited
the room – he just disappeared.
Psalm 91:11
For he will command his angels concerning
you to guard you in all your ways;
Hebrews 1:14 -
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister
for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Hebrews 13:2 -
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby
some have entertained angels unawares.
Matthew 24:31 -
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other.
Luke 16:22
The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.
