That which was from the beginning,
And in which we have seen and heard;
The Word of life states no sinning,
As your faith knows of the true Word.
Which we have seen with our eyes,
And we have touched with our hands;
Insight given to make us wise,
Showing the way through His commands.
For the life was made manifest,
That we have seen to testify;
Proclaim the eternal life quest,
We are unable to deny.
That which we have seen and have heard,
As we also proclaim to you;
The fellowship within the Word,
With the Father and Son is true.
For we are writing of these things,
So that our joy is complete;
The love and blessings that it brings,
Heavenly desire as sweet.
This is the message we have heard,
And I proclaim that God is light;
Because of the truth in the Word,
Brings you the wisdom and insight.
For there is no darkness in Him,
Because the light is true and pure;
Darkness only makes you feel grim,
Which only Jesus is the cure.
If we say we have fellowship,
But in the darkness where we walk;
Through this life we stumble and trip,
As we lie any time we talk.
If we are walking in the light,
We have the fellowship with Christ;
Enabled to do what is right,
Temptations no longer enticed,
If we say that we have no sin,
It is ourselves, we deceive;
And the truth will never begin,
Showing us in what to believe.
If we confess God will forgive,
His Spirit blocks the desire;
Cleansing us so that we can live,
No longer to be a liar.
