 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

The remnant that remains,

From the exile there;

Experience the pains,

From the burdens they bear.

Hardship and reproach,

As the wall becomes breached;

As foreigners encroach,

As the gates had been reached.

They had burned down the gates,

I abruptly sat down;

For what the future waits,

They overrun this town.

The crying and mourning,

Prevailed for many days;

Praying as the scorning,

From their immoral ways.

Continued prayer and fast,

Before our Lord God;

As the darkness does cast,

Showing that they are flawed.

Please O God of Heaven,

The great and awesome God;

A covenant given,

That we honor and laud.

A loving covenant,

That we love and obey;

Give us encouragement,

So that we will not stray.

May Your ear be captive,

With eyes able to see;

In being reactive,

That we can be set free.

I repent and obey,

Your commands to do them;

Not to be fallen prey,

To strangers that condemn.

I beseech onto You,

To listen what I say;

I am faithful and true,

In following Your way.
