 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

Who has believed what he has heard,

With the arm of the Lord revealed;

See with your eyes within the Word,

That God has opened and unsealed.

For He grew up like a young plant,

Like a root out of the dry ground;

He had no form and did not slant,

Or majesty could not be found.

No beauty should we desire,

But was despised and rejected;

No esteem for to acquire,

A man of sorrows neglected.

Surely, He has borne our griefs,

As He carried our sorrows;

And many had such disbeliefs,

Stricken for our tomorrows.

But He was pierce for our sin,

Crushed for our iniquities;

For all the transgressions within,

That were from illegalities.

He was chastised that had brought peace,

And with His wounds that we are healed;

Loving forgiveness not to cease,

On a path with abundant yield.

We are like sheep have gone astray,

Having immoral lifestyles;

Everyone turned their own way,

Casual joy that defiles.

He was oppressed and afflicted,

Like a lamb led to the slaughter;

On a cross He was evicted,

When pierced flowed out blood and water.

By judgment and taken away,

Cutting Him off from the living;

Even though they did disobey,

He still called for in forgiving.

But they had laid Him in a grave,

After His death with a rich man;

No violence and not a slave,

It was how God set up His plan.
