I don't need wealth or fancy things,
Nor the praises that fortune brings.
For joy is found in simpler sights,
In stars that twinkle on quiet nights.
I don't need fame or a famous name,
Nor the spotlight's blinding flame.
For peace is found in humble deeds,
In lending a hand to those in need.
I don't need power or control,
Nor to rule over a kingdom bold.
For strength lies in a loving heart,
In the courage to heal and restart.
I don't need beauty that fades away,
Nor the world's shallow standards to obey.
For true beauty blooms within the soul,
In kindness and compassion, making us whole.
I don't need approval from every face,
Nor to fit into society's perfect space.
For true freedom comes from self-acceptance,
In embracing flaws and finding resilience.
I don't need others to define my worth,
Nor to climb the ladder of societal birth.
For my worth is innate, it's something divine,
Inherent in me, since the very first time.
I don't need to conform and be like everyone,
Nor to chase after things left undone.
For my path is unique, it's mine to tread,
With faith in myself, I'll forge ahead.
So, I don't need what the world may decree,
I only need to be true to me.
For in authenticity, I'll surely find,
The meaning and purpose I've always had in mind.
