WHERE 'R' OUR PEOPLE 4/4/05
Where have all the people gone;
No more house parties;
No more Block parties;
Where have all the people gone;
No more meetings at night,
secret gatherings
of those that were not going out without a fight;
Where have all the people gone;
No longer battling the powers that be;
Instead satisfied with what they have to eat;
Where have all the people gone;
Lost our strength because our numbers have been dismissed;
Where have all the people gone;
To the country,
then transferred to the penitentiary;
Where has our Black History gone?
Displaced like a long lost mystery (DIASPORA);
Where have all the people gone?
To a place of purgatory,
where souls unit to fight
the temptation of the sinning sensation;
Where have all the people gone?
From the church
to listening to the teachings of the rhythm of the club,
dancing to the sounds of heathens;
