Bless the Lord, O my soul,
All that is within me;
Help me to reach my goal,
With the insight to see.
Bless of your Holy Name,
Forget not benefits;
In all that I proclaim,
And through all my merits.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
You forgive all my sin;
Keeps me from the death toll,
By cleansing me within.
You heal me from disease,
Redeeming of my life;
You answer to my pleas,
To shelter from the strife.
You save me from the snare,
That Satan laid the lure;
Showing me that you care,
Salvation to assure.
Because of steadfast love,
From your mercy and grace;
Your tow line from above,
Rescues me from this place.
You satisfy with good,
Renewed like the eagle;
Guides the way as I should,
As to what is legal.
You work in righteousness,
Justice for the oppressed;
Without the viciousness,
That evil is obsessed.
You made known of the ways,
While slow to anger;
To be righteous all days,
A solace to languor.
As far as east from west,
You remove transgressions;
I continue the quest,
Within my confessions.
