How long, O Lord?

Will You forget;

Being ignored,

What I regret.

How long to hide,

Your face from me;

For I abide,

Answer my plea.

How long must I,

Console my soul;

Please hear my cry,

I lost control.

I have sorrow,

Within my heart;

For tomorrow,

I may depart.

How long shall my,

Foes to exalt;

I question why,

Showing their fault.

Consider me,

You are my Lord;

Can You not see,

My plea outpoured.

Light up my eyes,

Lest that I sleep;

To become wise,

Death not to keep.

Lest my foes say,

I have prevailed;

But I do pray,

That they have failed.

My foes rejoice,

I am shaken;

Lifting my voice,

Feel forsaken.

But I have trust,

Within Your love;

Cure me from lust,

Bless me thereof.
