myth implied 2/19/19

The Myth implied that I was born to survive
As property, 3/5ths of a human being;
The myth implied that for looking female folks in the eyes,
it was sang that I should hang;
The myth implied that the color of my skin's pride should be pushed aside;
(‘I'm brown and I'm proud)
The myth implied that rats from India caused the black plague,
but no one in India died from the black plague;
The myth implied when you turn the other cheek
everyone would know the wickedness in their eyes;
The myth implied
that assassination was the only way to make the movement for equality permanently die
“the only truth in all these myths Implied”
