Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

The bad seed in my blood line flows through me
A new generation tainted and cold
I had hoped that my latter years would somehow be sweeter
But all that they were, now, are nothing but old.
The darkness draws in those that are close to me
Shutting out the light that truth shines
I have tried so hard not to falter when falling
But always the consequence and blame are all mine.
Nowhere I tread do I feel solid ground below me
But I do know that in an instant all can be lost
Leaving me tumbling and turning lost for direction
Leaving me broken and counting the cost.
