so I told him the war has already been won;

but a poor man's pride isn't easily pushed aside;
I was in the Lion's Den when Daniel was tossed in for no apparent reason,
told me undying faith would get us out of that dark place;
I was with Malcolm when he stood by that window,
my A-R15 prepared to split spleens,

now when ever I see his name there's always violence,
never silence in our land only homicides of the noble,

Souls of Black Folks grabbed my attention,
but for some reason didn't heighten my mental suspension
only raised my suspicions about Blacks once they acquire a little bit of position;
concentrated in camps on how to escape and kill the Nazi's reigning champ;
I hit-ler with phrases that negated his propaganda,
had his followers questioning their own standards,
gave them a better overstanding of what their leader was truly planning;
now I witness planes engulfed in flames every 11th of September,
tragedy is a human reality that's hard not to remember;
so I continue to strive to remain alive
