Poetic-Verses

'' Hysteria In Motion ''

My ego soared,
As the lion roared,
I was told, take it nice and steady,
I'd never get bored,
Hunting I adored,
He said shoot whenever you're ready.

My weapon armed,
I had him charmed,
Though drugged he put on a show,
Somewhat alarmed,
Could I be harmed?
He shouted out, go with the flow.

The King of the pride,
Refused to hide,
He stood and showed his defiance,
I asked my guide,
If this would subside,
Shouldn't he be showing compliance?

As I went to fire,
I felt quite dire,
As my weapon refused to go off,
I said we'll retire,
This could go to the wire,
I swear that lion did scoff.

Having no say,
I suddenly turned grey,
As the pride moved towards us at speed,
From hunter to prey,
Caused us dismay,
As those lions saw us as their feed.

This is real,
Now I know how they feel,
It has really opened my eyes,
It is an ordeal,
With no right of appeal,
Yet this reality the human denies.

It may not be fair,
But we didn't care,
To butcher them was our only notion,
But it really does scare,
I'm now fully aware,
Being hunted? Is,

‘' Terror In Motion ‘'
