Depression
In shadows deep, where darkness dwells,
A heavy fog, where sadness swells.
A lonely soul, burdened heart,
I wander through this realm of art.
Depression, my unwanted guide,
Takes me on this tormenting ride.
An emptiness that haunts my days,
A constant haze that clouds my ways.
Through sleepless nights and weary dreams,
I'm lost within despair's extremes.
A prisoner of my own design,
Trapped in a world that seems malign.
The sun may rise, but I can't see,
The beauty lost in apathy.
Each smile I fake, each laugh I feign,
Behind it all, a soul in pain.
But hope, a little spark, remains,
In whispered words, a distant strain.
A flicker in the darkest night,
A glimmer breaking through the blight.
With time and love, I'll find my way,
Emerging from this endless gray.
And though the battle may be long,
I'll rise above, I will be strong.
For depression, though it may abide,
Cannot consume the fire inside.
With resilience, I'll break free,
From this suffocating sea.
So here's my plea, a heartfelt plea,
That we may see, truly see,
The ones who fight, with hearts so brave,
Let's lend our hands, let our love save.
