Socially I'm awkward;
I probably should have studied hard
And acquired a degree from Harvard;
But with the cards I was dealt
That didn't seem like an option;
So I started doing what I grew up watching
Clocking for cream,
Listening to crackhead's silent screams
While moms tries to sleep;
Awkwardly I'm social;
Because I'm tri-coastal;
Born in the west,
Reared in the south,
And matriculated east
Bread me to speak in an accent
Decoding me as beast;
now that I'm of age
I've realized all those labels
Was just a social charade…
